Double Digits Baby!!!!!!!!!!!

So it's Wednesday ... and ya know what that means. Time to weigh in with the Sisterhood of The Shrinking Jeans. I was a little nervous going into this weigh in because I have not weighed myself in a WHOLE WEEK! Man, that is new for me. But I stepped up on that scale and found that I have lost ...

I'm Down with the Sisterhood!

And, in truth, I have surpassed the 10 pounds down, but they didn't have a badge for 11.5 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, that's right baby, double digits are now OFFICIALLY mine!

Now, it was a challenge to avoid that scale each morning. But I realized that it was just me trying to control the scale, when in fact, it was the scale controlling ME. And that aint good. So, I am taking back control - one day at a time.

I also caught myself this week trying to set long term goals for myself. And because I was able to stop myself I can see what a huge relief it is to NOT have that pressure. I still know how much I have to lose and I still have those clothes I want to fit into, but one day at a time is making those goals seem SO much more attainable.

I feel better and stronger with my workouts. In fact, yesterday I pulled out an old DVD that, in my thin days, was the hardest stinkin workout I had ever done. I remembered that it killed me - and that was a good 50 pounds ago! But when I did it yesterday it was a cakewalk! I actually felt like I needed to do ANOTHER workout in order to accomplish what I wanted for the day. So I did some light weights and danced all around the house with Soph and even did the Sisterhood last chance workout while watching Biggest Loser (wall sits, by the way, are the devil's handywork!).

(speaking of Biggest Loser - do you watch it? If you do, do you think that Melissa was "playing the game" when she didn't lose for those 2 weeks or do you think that she really was trying? I, personally, think she was telling the truth because I am the same way, I bulk up very easily so my weight never shows the truth of what I'm doing if I'm working out along with dieting. Case in point, I lost 11.5 pounds in the last month and a half but have dropped 2 whole pant sizes! Is that right?! I dunno! But I was kinda sad to see her go last night.)

Anyhoo - I am pretty happy with my loss for the week - thrilled in fact!

So, how are YOU doing?

7 of ya left some love:
