P365.7-11

Sooooooo, it's been a busy few weeks.

Well, five weeks, to be exact.

And, don't worry, I will not subject you to FIVE week worth of pictures.  Just a sampling of what we have been up to...  Here we go!!

We moved into a new house ... here are the welcome doors!

We had a little Blessing party - we asked our sweet friends and family that prayed us here to leave their Blessings on all of the walls that would eventually be painted.  I will cherish every word!

What do you do when you have unpacked the available boxes and you are STILL waiting for the UPS dude, so you can't leave the house?  Mani-Pedi's of course!!!

Sweet Hattie Grace turned eight!  We put candles in her breakfast bar to start her day off right!

She chose an Incredibles themed party ... and I HATE that with the move I just could NOT get myself together in time to make her a cake myself. I did design a picture and have the bakery print it on edible paper for the top of her cake though.  She seemed to enjoy it!

She was NOT thrilled, however, with her pancake dinner on National Pancake day.  (I am so sad that she does not share my love for pancakes...)

I LOVE me some glass jars, and now that I have the counter space to use and display them, I have someplace to put my weakness ... LOVE me some tootsie roll pops. Grape is my favorite! YUM!

I also have room to properly display my antiques. This was my grandma's (and possibly her mother before her) sewing machine.  BEAUTIFUL!

Eli's first visit in the new house. He LOVES all the extra space.  He also loves Sophie!

My sweet friend Amanda's son Brayden was in the hospital for TWELVE days with a mystery ailment that they could NOT figure out. Poor guy was so sick. This is a little love note that the girls wrote.  Yes, SOPHIE wrote the whole thing out too - hers is the bottom one! SO proud!
(PS - Bray is home and fine now and I LOVE that the children from our church are learning the power of prayer so early! LOVE!)

Poor Woody ... a cowboy - SHERIFF no less - should never be treated this way.  But ANY toy in the house of Sophie is likely to end up in a bikini top and a tu-tu. It's just the way she rolls...

This was the day that my piano finally made it to the new home.  I am SOOOOOOO happy!

Unpacking boxes has been so emotional - these treasures are left behind by loved ones gone on to Heaven.  All in one box.  I was a puddle on the floor by the end.

Alexis is a big sister now and I FINALLY got to do a photo shoot with sweet Jocelyn!  How adorable is she in her tu-tu?!  LOVE the way it turned out!

Alexis in an outfit that her mommy wore at her age! SWEETNESS!

The girls together - Alexis is smitten - has been since first sight. The way she loves her "Baby" is completely precious!

So, there ya go, a sample of the last few weeks.  Still putting the house together, so a pictorial of our new home is coming.  SO happy to be here though ... and so Blessed!

Thank you Sara for hosting!

Week 6 ... we were supposed to start the moving process this week, but our closing was delayed.  Hopefully NEXT week, you will be bombarded with pictures of the new house!!!!

But here is how THIS week went down ...

Sunday - OK, I admit it, I did not get a pic for this day.  The assignment was "10:00am" and, at 10am this day, I was singing at church on the praise team.  So, the PLAN was to take a picture of 10am THIS week.  But this week I am stuck here where Hubby was LAST week at 10am ...

Stuck on the couch with a belly ache.

boo.
Monday - "Dinner" ... but, I gotta tell ya, this was actually lunch.  And I only have THIS shot cause I was messin with my camera and trying to get funky shots of some of my coca cola stuff for my new kitchen!!!
Tuesday - I have no idea what the assignment was, but this was the only pic I took all day.  The girls were at the table talking about Jonah & the Whale.  Hattie was writing about it in her prayer journal and Soph wanted to try but I had already put her book away. I handed her this card, she asked Hattie how to spell it and she wrote it all out by her self!!!

So proud of my brilliant little pre-schooler!!
Wednesday - "The Sun" - I love the way it shines through her messy curls!
Also on Wed., sweet Alexis became a big sister!!  She came to our house in the wee hours of the morning and had a sleep over.  When they posted this pic on facebook I pulled it up big, she saw it and was immediately in love. She kept saying "Hi Baby! Hi!!" and every time I took the picture down she pointed at the computer and asked for her "baby" back.

I think she is in LOVE!!!
Thursday - "Front Door" - this may not be our door for long, but this guy has been around for years, hanging on every door we have had.  HE is comin with is!!!
Friday - "Self Portrait" - THIS is Hattie's self portrait. It includes the whole family!  Even the cat!
And this is mine ... trust me, you do NOT want to see what I looked like on Friday night.  I was trying to take a pic of my reflection blurred in the glass on the china cabinet. But I forgot to turn off the flash and this is what I got before the battery died.  I kinda like the effect though ... kinda...

Saturday - "Happy" - This does that for me ...
... one sweet girl in braids that take on a life (and a little curl!!) all their own ...
... and TWO sweet girls who have found their very best friend ...
... in each other!!

(please forgive the "it's winter, my skin is dry and I have a rash from licking my lips - and beyond" mustache that my Hattie is sportin!!!)

So ... how was YOUR week?!

FIVE weeks into the new year!  Oh.My.WORD!  This is just crazy to me!  But, here we are. I remember in late December saying "if January goes as fast as December's gone, we will be getting our new house any day now..."  And here we are, scheduled to close on said new house this week!

Y'all ... PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!

Cause, y'all, this kinda thing could ONLY be HIM!  In Bankruptcy Court just over two years ago to this.  ONLY HIM!

Can I just get an Amen?!

OK, here is our week....

Sunday - the first real measurable snow we have had this winter ... it was BEAUTIFUL!
Monday - my fridge (love photo assignments!!!) ... Mama needs her caffeine!
Tuesday - Self Portrait ... yeah, you're welcome (sigh).
Wednesday - New month = new memory verse.  This year's goal is the entire book of James!!!
However, Wednesday's assignment was my view ... I could look at THIS, forever!!!
Thursday - "Words" - This is my mantra as of late. I DO believe ... help me overcome my unbelief!
Friday - Is this a dining room or a zoo?  Hard to belief there is just a common house cat on the other side of that fence!!!
But Friday's assignment was "hands" - I LOVE this pic!!!
Saturday - "Stranger" - although I am sure he won't be a stranger for long. This was a meeting to lay out a focus for the future of our church. This gentlemen is going to help us meet some of our goals!  I LOVE that we are part of a church so focused on God's leading!  Praise Him!!!!!

So, how was YOUR week?!?!?!?!

(thanks for hosting Sara!!)

Jan 19 - I'm leavin ... on a jet plane ...
Headed to Houston to see some good friends, get a good Word and eat some good Mexican food!
Jan 20 - The worship was AH-MA-ZING!  Travis Cottrell knows how to bring me to my knees! GLORY!
Jan 21 - My pBFF Beth Moore giving us the "seal of approval"!  She told us a story about her grandson Jackson and his kindergarten class. They clap and bark like seals when they approve!

I just need to say that the Word that this woman brought was almost more than I could handle - OH what a Blessing!  SO proud to be a siesta!
Jan 22 - This guy made our guacamole right there at our table for us ... it was DIVINE!
Jan 23 - watching the sunrise from ABOVE the clouds on my way home from Houston!! (cell phone shot!)
Jan 24 - Eli ... practicing his big brother skills!  (cell phone shot)
Jan 25 - It is NEVER too early to learn of the beauty that is The Sound Of Music!!  Lots of singing and dancing along with that one. These girls are fans! (cell phone shots)
Jan 26 - Oh the fun to be had with a sink full of bubbles!
Jan 27 - The girls got these books for Christmas and then they kind of got swept away in the clean up.  I found em the other day and decided it was time to start prayer journals with the girls, since they are always asking what I'm writing in mine.  Hattie can write and she decided that she was thankful for Wilbur, Charlotte & Templeton (Charlotte's Web). She wrote their names and then drew pictures!  LOVE IT!!!
Sophie was thankful for the Veggie Tales and their Jonah movie. I wrote the names and she traced the letters and drew some pictures too!

I LOVE that they are learning so early to be thankful!  Praise Him!
Jan 28 - today's assignment was "light" ... this is my trusty ol $6 Coca-Cola lamp that I have had FOREVER!

Thanks Sara for hosting us, always such a fun adventure!

And ... how was YOUR week?!
